A Fiery Convergence Optional Quest Monster Hunter World Iceborne
Our next Optional Quest in Monster Hunter World Iceborne is A Fiery Convergence. This High-Rank quest has us searching the Elder’s Recess for an Uragaan and a Lavasioth to slay. This quest is unlocked at the Armoury after completing The Sleeping Sylvan Queen and Dodogama Drama. Completing this quest unlocks the Fireproof Mantle which reduces damage from Fire elemental attacks, as well as nullifying Fireblight and Blastblight. It also negates damage from hot environments.
Uragaan – A Fiery Convergence
Uragaan is weak to Water, Ice, and Dragon elemental damage. Its weak points are the head and belly. You can break or sever its head, back, and tail.
Uragaan can inflict Fireblight, Sleep, and uses attacks that produce the Tremor effect. It is highly recommended to equip jewels or armor that prevent the sleep status and either nullify or reduce tremor. Without those, this fight can be very tedious.

Lavasioth coats itself in the magma that it swims around in. While it is outside of the lava, it begins to cool and harden forming protective armor around Lavasioth. Each time it reenters the magma the armor will soften allowing you to attack it again, or you can use the pods that are located in the same area’s as slinger ammo to soften area’s of it to attack.
