Neverland – Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Final Mix

To find Neverland simply fly your Gummi ship between Halloween Town and Atlantica. Halfway between you’ll be stopped by a Pirate Ship, similar to how we were swallowed by Monstro the whale.

You’ll trigger a few cutscenes before eventually being given control of Sora again. Head out the door and into the ships hold to be attacked by two new Heartless:

Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Final Mix - New Heartless: Shadow Sora

The Pirate Heartless will be a regular feature in Neverland, Shadow Sora will appear to attack you only sometimes and only until a certain in the story here. Defeat them both whenever they appear, more EXP never hurt anyone.

Defeat all the enemies in this area and then climb the nearby ladder, head through the door to the right when you can. You’ll need to empty this room of Heartless as well. Then proceed to drop down to the Ships lower level from here. Down in this area you’ll spawn a ton of Heartless, defeat them and then head to the other ladder leading out of the area.

Here you’ll trigger a couple of scenes before finally regaining control of Sora. To the left of the stove you’ll find a chest containing a Meteor-G. Behind you, you’ll find a shelf which you can jump onto. Use the shelf to then jump through the hole in the roof above you. Take the door immediately to your right to arrive in a room with a Green Trinity. Activate the Trinity and then use the ladder to enter the room above for our first Boss Battle of the area.

Boss Battle: Anti Sora

Boss:Anti Sora
HP:750
EXP:2,000
Rewards:Raven's Claw (Accessory)
Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Final Mix - Anti Sora Boss Battle

Anti Sora will use his own Keyblade to deal damage to you. He’ll try to evade your attacks by occasionally sinking into the floor as well. Once he has taken enough damage, he’ll split himself into multiple copies of himself, simply use your Thunder magic to take out the copies and go back to focusing on the main one. He’ll fall before long and you’ll be rewarded with the Raven’s Claw Accessory.

In the room you’ll find a chest containing Dalmatian’s 88, 89, and 90 on the bed in the corner. On the opposite side of the room you’ll find a small door on the floor, if you get close enough you’ll get the interact icon pop up and Sora will be able to open the latch to access the room below.

Here, Peter will be reunited with Wendy. Afterward, you can grab the chest in the corner for a Protera Chain, use the save point to refill your HP and MP before heading through the door. Follow the hallway to another door, inside it you’ll find a ladder, head up it and you’ll be back in the room where you fought Anti Sora. Use the door to the Ship’s Deck outside to trigger a couple of cutscenes. Once they’re over you’ll be rewarded for your effort so far with an upgrade to our healing magic “Cure” will become “Cura”, Cura is a much more powerful version of the spell, and sorely needed by this point in the game. You’ll then have an aerial battle with two new types of Heartless, followed by another Boss Battle.

Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Final Mix - New Heartless: Battleship

During the first fight with just the Heartless, try to conserve your MP. You might need it for healing in the upcoming Boss Battle, and since you’ll be fighting these Heartless in the air around the ship, there is a decent chance all the HP and MP orbs they drop will fall into the water and be unrecoverable. When fighting the Battleship Heartless, try to destroy the various parts before the body, this gives a chance for extra synthesis materials to drop and also maximizes the EXP gained from fighting them.

Once thats over the Boss Battle will start.

Boss Battle: Captain Hook

Boss:Captain Hook
HP:900
EXP:3,400
Rewards:Ars Arcanum (Ability)
Ansem's Report 9
Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Final Mix - Captain Hook Boss Battle

Dont bother casting Thunder based spells on Hook, hes immune. Any Fire based magic will set him alight and cause him to run around the arena. Since you can now use the flight skills in Neverland, the best strategy for this fight is to simply fly in and combo him, then fly away before he can respond. You can also defeat some of the Battleship Heartless on the outside of the Ship if you need some HP or MP orbs during the fight. Overall the fight shouldn’t give you much trouble, just keep your HP and defence up with Cura and Aero and you’ll do fine.

After the battle you’ll trigger a couple of cutscenes and then end up on the Clocktower in London.

When you regain control of Sora, you can head around this inner section of the Clocktower to find a chest containing a Flare-G. Fly off the edge of the clocktower and circle around it to find that one of the clock faces isn’t set to Midnight like the rest of them. Fly toward the Minute hand on the clock, use your lock on to get in close, and hit it until it aligns with the hour hand. The Neverland Keyhole will reveal itself and Sora will seal it. You’ll obtain another Navi-G block and a couple of scenes will play out.

As everyone says their goodbyes, Tinkerbell will decide to come with Sora. You’ll obtain her as a Summon. You’ll also be given the Fairy Harp Keyblade and the Glide shared ability for use outside of Neverland now. Jump off the Clocktower again and fly up to the Save Point located above you to board your Gummi Ship.

World Revisit – Glide and Yellow Trinity – Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Final Mix

Now that we have the Glide skill we can revisit a bunch of worlds and collect some of the remaining chests. Start by heading back to the Ships Hold in Neverland.

Neverland Ships Hold – Post Captain Hook

Exit the small room with the save point and clear all the enemies from the area. Now that you can fly freely in Neverland, head up to the support beams on the ceiling of this room to find two chests. One holding a Paper-G and the other a chest of Dalmatians 82, 83, and 84. Head up to the second level and through the door on the right. Defeat the enemies and drop down into the lower level. Climb the other ladder out of this area. In this room, you’ll now be able to fly up through the hole in the roof and climb the ladder to return to the Captain’s Cabin. From here head outside and defeat the Heartless that spawn.

Once the enemies are dealt with, fly up to the Crows Nest to find another chest, this one containing an Orichalcum. Head back to the save point and over to Olympus Coliseum next. You’ll find that a new Coliseum Games is available to participate in.

Olympus Coliseum Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Final Mix

With Neverland completed, the Hercules Cup will unlock in the Olympus Coliseum. Head over and compete for a chance to face off against a familiar face, as well as unlock the ability to use Yellow Trinities. (And two new Keyblades!)

Neverland – Post Hercules Cup

If you get out of the Gummi Ship at the Clock Tower there are a few items you can obtain here. If you fly out of the Clock Tower and travel around the outside where you can see the doors, you’ll find one of them will have a light above it. Land near it and examine the door to obtain an item. The deal here is that every in-game hour a different door will have this light above it for you to be able to obtain an item. Honestly, the items hardly warrant waiting around 12 hours to get them all. Getting these items is not required for completing the game. However, after sealing the next Keyhole at Hollow Bastion, a Superboss takes up residence here at the Clocktower so now is the earliest, easiest, time to collect these items, if you want them.

Neverland Clock Tower Time Rewards

A list of the times and various rewards obtainable at the Clock Tower in Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Final Mix. You'll need to return to the Clock Tower every hour to obtain all 12 items listed here.

3:00Mythril Shard
4:00Power Up

7:00AP Up
8:00Defense Up
9:00Orichalcum
10:00Defense Up

Once you’re done there head back to the save point and over to the Ship’s Hold.

Head out and defeat the enemies that spawn here. Head up the ladder to find that one of the doors has a Yellow Trinity (#3) in front of it. Activate it, you’ll gain access to a new room full of Heartless. Defeat them to be able to access the chests in here. There are four chests total in here, containing; a Dark Matter, an Orichalcum, Dalmatians 85, 86, and 87, as well as an upgrade for our Aero Magic to “Aerora”. This upgraded version of Aero is very powerful and useful. It now reduces damage further, as well as damaging any enemies that are standing too close to Sora. The duration of it is now: ((max MP x2) +8) in seconds.

Head back to the Save Point and board the Gummi Ship for Halloween Town.

Halloween Town Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Final Mix

Board the Gummi Ship and head for our next destination, Halloween Town.

Neverland – Post Hollow Bastion

Disembark in the Ships Cabin, from here take the exit out onto the Deck of the ship. Here you’ll need to defeat the Heartless that spawn before activating the White Trinity (#9) near the Ship’s Wheel. For your trouble, you’ll recieve a chest containing Dalmatians 43, 44, and 45. Head back to the Save Point once you’re done. In the Ship’s Cabin, put Peter Pan in your party and you’ll find Tinkerbell floating nearby, if you talk to her she will tell you that there is something at the Clocktower and do you want to go check it out?

Going with Tinkerbell to the Clock Tower will start a battle with another one of Kingdom Hearts Optional Superbosses, Phantom. For this fight it is recommended that your party is at least above level 65.

Boss Battle: Phantom

Boss:Phantom
HP:1,200
EXP:9,999
Rewards:Stop Magic Upgrade (Stopga)
Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Final Mix - Phantom Boss Battle

There is a little bit of recommended prep work you should undertake prior to this fight. Much like Kurt Zisa, Phantom has a gimmick you’ll need to work around. Start by equipping Sora for max MP, change his Keyblade to whatever you have that will raise his MP the most, then do the same with his Accessories. The power of your spells is increased based on your max MP so this is critical. Equip Sora, Goofy, and Peter Pan with Elixir’s and other MP restoring items, this fight will consume a ton of MP and you don’t want restoring it to be an issue.

Finally change the shortcut spells for Sora to Blizzard, Thunder, and Stop. Now for the strategy, Phantom will curse a character at the start of the fight, Peter Pan, and a curse counter will appear above his head. If you allow a full minute to pass, Peter Pan will be permanently removed from this battle and the counter will then appear above Goofy. To prevent this, you can cast Stop on the moving Hand of the Clockface on the Clock Tower. The trigger for the curse activating is this Clock Hand completing a full revolution, which it will do every 60 secs. Casting Stop on the hand will prevent it from ticking over for an additional 15 secs. You need to keep casting Stop on this hand every 15 seconds during the battle.

In order to damage Phantom, he has an orb beneath him that will change colour. If it is Red he can be damaged by Fire magic, if it is Blue then use Ice magic, Yellow is Thunder magic, and White is Physical Damage. Make sure to only fight Phantom near the clock face so that you can keep up your Stop magic on the Clock Face as well. As long as you gave your party enough MP items, then MP shouldn’t be an issue for this fight, just stick to the strategy and the Phantom will eventually fall. For your effort your Stop magic will be upgraded to Stopga, which increases the area of effect for the spell.

Return to the Save Point and board the Gummi Ship for Traverse Town once you’re done.
