End Of The World – Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Final Mix

End Of The World – Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Final Mix

Disembark and head outside. Here you’ll trigger a short scene between everyone. You’ll see a Green Chest close by, make your way over to it to trigger a fight. Defeat the Heartless and claim the chest for a Mythril Shard. This whole area is actually a maze, the walls are just invisible. The patches of snow on the ground should give you an indication of what direction to head in next, but you basically will just be running from island to island claiming the chests that are scattered about.

The second chest will contain a Pretty Stone, the third a Mega-Potion, and the fourth will trigger a fight another Behemoth.

Target the Horn, you know the drill by now. The fight should be over pretty quickly, and you’ll gain a Mythril for winning the battle.

The fifth chest will contain a Mythril Shard, and the sixth contains a Pretty Stone. The last four chests will contain; a Cottage, a Gale, an AP Up, and an Elixir, respectively.

Continue to make your way towards the exit to trigger another fight against an Arch Behemoth. Defeating him will allow you to enter the next area.

Giant Crevasse

The first chest we need to grab contains a Dark Matter. To reach it you’ll need to use your Glide from where you start, straight ahead until you reach a bunch of multicolored crystals, Glide around them to reach a chest behind them. Jump to the nearby platform and use your camera to spot a landing area below, in an area surrounded by Webs. Land here and defeat the Heartless that spawn, then drop down the hole in the floor to reach another Treasure Chest, this time containing the Meteor Strike Staff for Donald.

Behind you will be another wall covered in web, Glide over to reach another chest, this one containing an Ultima-G. Use your camera to look around for an area with climbable ledges on the wall, they will look like they’re covered in Ice. You can Glide to these and climb them to reach another chest, containing a Drill-G. Drop back down the ledges and use your Glide to go beneath the Dome-Shaped ledge, on the other side of the area. Here you can drop into another area sealed by Webs, defeat the Heartless and use the hole in the floor to reach another chest. This chest contains a Full-Life-G. With all of that cleared, make your way over to the Save Point near the column of light to progress to the next area.

Boss Battle: Chernabog

Boss:Chernabog
HP:1,500
EXP:15,000
Rewards:Superglide (Shared Ability)
Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Final Mix - Chernabog Boss Battle

By this point in the game, you’ve fought much tougher Bosses. Use Aeroga to mitigate some damage and cast Tinkerbell to keep your HP up. Try to Glide your way to behind his head and attack him from there. Many of his attacks will be unable to reach you in this position. The only one that can is when he doubles over and causes the Volcano to erupt. Just make sure to keep Aeroga on and your HP up, he’ll go down fast.

For winning this battle you’ll unlock the Superglide ability, a much faster variant of the Glide ability. Be sure to equip it, and then head down into the Volcano.

Final Rest

Continue to progress through the next couple of screens. You’ll eventually face another Arch Behemoth, followed by several waves of other Heartless. Defeat them all and continue pressing on.

Here you’ll come to an area called the Final Rest, you’ll find a chest containing a Megalixir and a Save Point. Continuing forward from here will start the battles with the games final bosses. Make sure you double check equipment and abilities, as well as stock everyone with healing items. If you’re trying to 100% the game, then be sure to visit our other guides and make sure everything is tidied up before pressing forward beyond this point.

The Final Battles

Entering the door will put you in a version of Destiny Islands. Make your way to the “Secret Place” to be stopped by Ansem. You’ll trigger a few scenes before the battle starts.

Boss Battle: Ansem - Seeker Of Darkness

Boss:Ansem - Seeker Of Darkness
HP:1,200
EXP:10,000
Rewards:N/A
Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Final Mix - Ansem (Seeker Of Darkness) Boss Battle

Ansem will use his Guardian Heartless to block many of your attacks. He can also surround himself in Electricity to act as a barrier for you being able to reach and attack him. The Guardian Heartless has the ability to hit Sora with an Orb of Darkness, doing so will lock up your attack function for a short while. You can still use abilities like Strike Raid and Ars Arcanum though. Strike Raid is a great option in this fight for keeping your distance and still doing some damage to Ansem.

Keep Aeroga on and your HP up, eventually you will be victorious and the fight will end. Heal up before heading into the next area for another Boss Battle.

Boss Battle: Darkside (End Of The World)

Boss:Darkside (End Of The World)
HP:900
EXP:8,000
Rewards:N/A
Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Final Mix - Darkside Boss Battle

Your Aeroga spell is actually strong enough now to reflect Darkside’s energy attacks back at him, so keep it up for the entire fight. Target his hands as usual, you can also use the Ragnarok ability to damage him when his hands are out of reach. After this fight you’ll be thrown into another battle with Ansem.

Boss Battle: Ansem - Seeker Of Darkness (2)

Boss:Ansem - Seeker Of Darkness (2)
HP:1,500
EXP:20,000
Rewards:N/A
Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Final Mix - Ansem, Seeker Of Darkness (2) Boss Battle

Ansem gains a few new attacks for this round. He now has access to most of the abilities that Riku used the last time we fought him in Hollow Bastion. He can dash around the battlefield, fire pillars of energy, and even use the same Dark Aura attack that we had to glide to avoid in Hollow Bastion. The same strategies apply here. You can use abilities like Strike Raid to deal damage to him without needing to get too close. Try to conserve MP where possible though as we still have more fights after this. After each of Ansem’s moves, you’ll have a small window to unleash an air combo if you are quick as well. This serves as a great way to conserve MP, so try to prioritize these combos as much as possible.

After the fight, you’ll be sucked into the Realm of Darkness to face Ansem again. This time he appears to have fused with a large Heartless and this battle will take multiple phases to complete.

Boss Battle: World Of Chaos (Ansem’s Body)

Boss:World Of Chaos (Ansem's Body)
HP:1,500
EXP:20,000
Rewards:N/A
Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Final Mix - World Of Chaos (Ansem's Body) Boss Battle

For the beginning of this fight, Donald and Goofy will be removed from the party. Fly over Ansem’s new body to where he is fused at the top of the ship. Try to conserve your MP as much as possible throughout this fight, as it will be multiple phases. Attack Ansem from the side or behind as much as possible, his large sword swings wont reach you there as much. Keep Aeroga on and your HP topped up as much as possible, after dealing enough damage to him, Ansem will rest behind an energy shield. A portal to the interior of the ship will open as well. Head in to face a group of Heartless.

Defeat the Heartless that spawn and eventually a Room Core will be revealed. Destroy the Core and you’ll be pushed back outside.

Beneath where Ansem is resting you’ll find a large group of Cannons have now spawned. Fly around the ship and destroy them all. You’ll find large and smaller variants. A few combo’s is all it will take to destroy each Cannon. Defeating the last of them will reopen the Portal at the top of the ship again.

Fly up and re-enter the Portal to be reunited with Goofy. Defeat the Heartless that spawn to reveal another Room Core. Destroy that as well to be sent back outside again.

Boss Battle: World Of Chaos (Lower Face)

Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Final Mix - World Of Chaos (Lower Face) Boss Battle

Fly down to the front of the Ship and attack its face. This is a very straight forward portion to the fight. MP should be less of an issue now with Goofy back in the picture as well. Once the face is destroyed a Portal will appear in the mouth.

Fly into the portal to be reunited with Donald, defeat the Heartless that spawn, and the Room Core as well.

You’ll be sent back outside again, this time the barrier to the Boss’s Main Core will fall, giving us access.

Destroy this Main Core to reawaken Ansem at the top of the Ship for one last time.

Boss Battle: World Of Chaos (Ansem’s Body)

EXP:20,000

Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Final Mix - World Of Chaos (Ansem's Body) Boss Battle

Use the same strategy as before, keep to the back or side to avoid most of his attacks. With Donald and Goofy now helping you, he should go down quick. Defeating him will trigger the games final cutscenes, so sit back and watch it all unfold.

The End?

Stay till after the credits for a scene showing Pluto with another letter from the King. There is also an additional ‘bonus’ cutscene at the end if you met certain criteria during the game.

The required criteria were different depending on what difficulty you chose at the start of the game:

  • Beginner mode would not allow you to view the secret ending
  • Standard mode requires the collection of all 99 Dalmatian Puppies, as well as sealing every Keyhole in the game.
  • Proud mode required completion of the Hades Cup along with sealing every Keyhole in the game.
