A Poisonous Project – Monster Hunter Rise
Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 4-Star Quest, A Poisonous Project. We’re off to the Flooded Forest to hunt a Pukei-Pukei. You’ll find the location of the Pukei-Pukei highlighted on the map so he’ll be no issue to track down.
My research is everything to me! And this new antidote research shall be my legacy! In order to continue my work, I’ll need you to fetch me a Pukei-Pukei specimen. But you’ll need to bring your own antidotes…
Monster Hunter Rise
Pukei-Pukei is a Bird Wyvern Class Monster found in the Shrine Ruins, Sandy Plains, and Flooded Forest. It is weak to Thunder, Fire, and Ice elemental damage.
Pukei-Pukei likes to attack using its deceptively long tongue, avoid standing in front of it when it is winding up for its tongue attacks. It can also inflict the Poison status effect with its breath attacks. Bring Antidotes or armor with Poison Resistance to make the fight much easier. As long as you have an answer to its Poison effect this monster should go down in no time at all.
Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a Low-Rank Pukei-Pukei can include; Pukei-Pukei Scale, Pukei-Pukei Shell, Pukei-Pukei Quill, Pukei-Pukei Tail, Pukei-Pukei Sac, Poison Sac, Monster Bone L, and Wyvern Tear.
