A Resounding Roar – Monster Hunter Rise
Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 7-Star Hub Quest, A Resounding Roar. We’re off to the Sandy Plains to hunt a Tigrex. You’ll find the location of the Tigrex highlighted on the map so he’ll be no issue to track down.
Did you hear that? It was that Tigrex! That monster’s invaded the Plains and has been hollerin’ up a storm ever since. Now all our Popo are spooked and won’t budge. Can’t blame ’em…They are a Tigrex’s favorite snack. Please, Hunter. You gotta help us out!
Monster Hunter Rise
Tigrex is a Flying Wyvern Class Monster found in the Frost Islands, Sandy Plains, and Lava Caverns. It is weak to Thunder, Dragon, and Water elemental damage.
Tigrex will start off the fight like a freight train, charging all over the place. His charges can be done twice in a row normally and three times in a row when he enters a rage. He’ll finish the series of charges with either a 360 degree tail spin or a series of bite attacks. You can move in and get some hits at the end of the charges, but be careful of the follow up spin attack.
The best way to deal with Tigrex is to use small hit and run attacks to begin the fight. Let him run all over the place and tire himself out. Once Tigrex becomes tired he becomes much easier to deal with. You’ll know he’s tired because his movements will slow down, he’ll stop every now and then, and you’ll sometimes see drool coming down from his mouth.
Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a High-Rank Tigrex can include; Tigrex Carapace, Tigrex Scale +, Tigrex Claw +, Tigrex Fang +, Tigrex Scalp, Tigrex Maw, Wyvern Gem, Tigrex Tail, Wyvern Tear, and Large Wyvern Tear.
