Bastard Sword Guide
The Bastard Sword is one of the many Greatswords found in Elden Ring. It scales with Strength and Dexterity. It gives its wielder a longer reach with its attacks and lends itself well to a playstyle that prefers rolling and dodging, instead of parrying.

Elden Ring Description
This heavy sword is normally wielded with two hands, but those with sufficient strength can wield it in one alone.
The hefty blade can be swung into multiple foes at once thanks to the broad, sweeping attack, making fending off crowds all the easier.
Where to find the Bastard Sword
The Bastard Sword can be bought from the Nomadic Merchant found at the Castle Morne Rampart Site of Grace, located on the eastern side of the Weeping Peninsula Map. It costs 3,000 Runes to purchase.

The Bastard Sword requires 16 Strength and 10 Dexterity to wield, it begins with a D Scaling in both Strength and Dexterity.
Ash of War
The Bastard Sword can be infused with other Ashes of War as well as offering the ability to be buffed by Spells and Consumable Items.
While not boasting the highest raw damage stats or ability to stagger. The Bastard Sword is incredibly versatile and easy to form builds around.
The Heavy Infusion for the Bastard Sword reaches diminishing returns around 66 Strength, while using it two-handed it reaches 720 AR. At 99 Strength it increases to only 783 AR.
