Beating Around The Bush Monster Hunter World Iceborne Optional Quest

Our next Optional Quest is Beating Around The Bush in Monster Hunter World Iceborne. This is a Master Rank hunt for Tobi-Kadachi in the Ancient Forest.

Tobi-Kadachi hasn’t changed much between High and Master rank so this shouldn’t pose much of an issue for you. If you are having trouble unlocking this quest it’s likely because you need to encounter a Master Rank Tobi-Kadachi on an investigation or Quest first. My preferred method of forcing it is to just keep checking between quests on which monsters are currently in each area for Master Rank investigations. Eventually you’ll have some luck and he’ll show in the Ancient Forest.

Tobi-Kadachi is weak to Water, Fire, and Thunder elements so pack appropriately. If his thunder damage is giving you issues, remember that the Bone Armor sets, which are easily creatable even at the start of Master Rank, give excellent Fire and Thunder resistance for these early encounters. They are also excellent for getting an edge over your first fights with Master Rank Anjanath or Rathalos if they are giving you issues.

Tobi-Kadachi’s weak points are the head and tail. His head, body, front legs, and tail are also breakable.
