Deep Jungle Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Final Mix
Once you land you’ll trigger some cutscenes and quickly be pushed into a fight with Sabor, he’ll attack us multiple times throughout the world, never really posing a huge threat. Simply dodge his lunge and follow it up with a combo of your own. Do this a couple of times and you’ll trigger another scene where Tarzan rushes in to save us.

Beneath the tree-house is a chest containing a mega potion. Head back into the tree-house and use a barrel to get onto the steps leading to the second level. Head out the second level door and follow the path around to a bunch of barrels blocking the path. From here you can actually jump around the barrels and continue to climb up towards the roof of this building for a chest containing a Protect Chain. From here you can also leap into the suspended boat for another chest, containing Mythril. To make this jump you’ll need to carefully line Sora up with the chest, jump and use your aerial attacks to extend your jumping distance, you’ll need to attack at least 3 times to close the distance. Open the chest and then jump off the edge past the netting to land in the Tunnel area. Grab the chest in here for a Mega-Ether, then climb into the tree hollow to use the Jungle Slider to reach the camp.
Once you reach the camp there are a few collectibles scattered about that we may as well collect now. You’ll need the slides to advance the story, but you can also collect the experiment notes to be able to gain a couple of items.
Deep Jungle Slides
In camp there are 6 slides to collect, you’ll find them in the following locations:
- Slide 1 – on top of the main tent
- Slide 2 – on a dresser in the northwest corner
- Slide 3 – next to the chalkboard
- Slide 4 – on top of the large pile of boxes
- Slide 5 – on top of the canopy in the northwest corner
- Slide 6 – on top of the boxes to the right of the tent
Deep Jungle Recipe Instructions
The instructions are found in the following locations:
- Examine the clock near the entrance to the bamboo thicket.
- Examine the bottom of the flagpole.
- Examine the shirt on the clothesline.
- Examine the Globe beside the tent.
- Examine the record player near the tent.
Once you’ve collected all of these, follow the instructions by the stove and the chemistry set to gain a Hi-Potion and an Ether. Head into the main tent and speak to Jane when you’re ready to continue.
After the scenes are complete, open the chest for a Mythril Shard and speak to Jane again, as we’ve already collected all the slides she wants. When she’s finished head outside to trigger another fight with Sabor. Once that is finished and now that your party is whole again you can access the Blue Trinity (#9) in camp near the Chemistry Set, this Trinity reveals our next set of Dalmatian Puppies (34, 35, and 36).
Hippo’s Lagoon
The exit near the Blue trinity will take us to the Hippo’s Lagoon. Here you’ll be able to reach two of the chests if you climb across the Hippos. You’ll receive Dalmatians (25, 26, and 27) as well as a Mega-Potion for your trouble. The rest will have to wait until we have high-jump and glide. Once you’ve got the chests climb the vine at the very start of the Hippo’s Lagoon to be taken to the Vines area.
Jump from vine to vine to traverse the area. You’ll be able to grab a chest in here containing some Mythril. Continue through to the next section of the vines area to trigger a scene between Tarzan and the Gorillas.
Once the scene is over make your way across the vines in this second area to find another chest, containing Dalmatians (28, 29, and 30). Then climb the vine on the wall up to the Climbing Tree’s area. Here you’ll find another Blue Trinity (#10). Exit towards the Treehouse for another scene, this time between Clayton and the Gorillas.
Take a shortcut by jumping off of the side of the area furthest away from the treehouse, this will cause you to land in the Cliff’s area. Here you’ll find 2 chests, containing a Mega-Potion and a Mythril Shard, plus another encounter with Sabor. Once that’s over, make your way back to Jane at the camp. Enter the camp to trigger a scene between Jane and Clayton. Exit the tent to find some new Heartless attacking a Gorilla.

You’ll now need to help the Gorillas by heading to the following 5 locations and saving them from the Heartless:
- The Camp
- Climbing Tree’s
- Cliff’s
- Treehouse
- Bamboo Thicket
Each Gorilla you save will reward you with a Gummi Block. By the end of saving them all you’ll obtain; a Protect-G, Fire-G, Aeroga-G (x2), and a Shell-G.
You’ll automatically save the Gorillas by the tent. Next head through the hippo’s lagoon and up the vines to the climbing trees. From here you can head straight to the Treehouse. From the Treehouse if you jump off the correct side of the bridge again you’ll land in the Cliff’s area. The final area is between you and the camp, The Bamboo Thicket. Clear the heartless and save the last gorilla before heading back to Jane at camp.

Enter the camp and speak to Jane, she’ll mention that she hopes Mr. Clayton is ok. Exit the camp to trigger the sound of a gun coming from the Cliffs area. Start making your way there to trigger your final confrontation with Sabor.

Sabor’s final battle is similar to all the other encounters with him you’ve fought so far. Although he has gained one new move, he’ll run into the bushes at the edge of the screen and pounce from a different location to attack Sora. You can track this by keeping a lock on to him for the whole battle though. If he gets too far away to hit, simply use your magic to reach him at distance. Once it’s over you’ll obtain the accessory, White Fang.
Head back to Jane at the camp to find her missing. She’s been taken to the Climbing Tree’s area. This is one of a few unique situations in the game where Heartless are going to constantly spawn, allowing for a great leveling opportunity right before the final boss of Deep Jungle. Make your way to the Climbing Trees to continue.
Head to the climbing trees area to find a large dark fruit that has spawned against the tree trunk in the middle. Until you destroy this fruit, Powerwild Heartless will continuously spawn. Take advantage of the opportunity and grab an easy level or two here. It’s also possible to do some AFK farming here if you’re brave enough, by wedging Sora in a corner and allowing Donald and Goofy to defeat the Powerwilds for you. Take care though, if Sora feints you’ll lose any progress you made since entering the area. So make sure Donald and Goofy gain a few levels with you participating first, plus you’ll want to leave every so often and save back at camp.
Once you free Jane, head back to the camp to save and heal. Head over to the Cliffs area to begin the final boss fight of Deep Jungle.

There are 2 parts to this fight, the first with Clayton and a bunch of Heartless. Simply focus on taking down Clayton’s HP quickly to end this portion of the fight. He will jump around the area trying to stay out of your melee range. He’ll go down quickly enough once you catch him though. Use the Triangle button while targeting him to make Donald and Goofy focus fire on him as well.
In phase 2 he will appear on top of something invisible. This is the Stealth Sneak, which is the real issue with this fight. It can deal heavy damage with its attacks but is completely optional to defeat. The battle will end when Clayton is defeated. You’ll need to deal a significant amount of damage to the Stealth Sneak to have it turn visible and also to have it throw Clayton off of its back. Once that happens you can either focus on Clayton or continue to focus on the Stealth Sneak until it is knocked out of battle. Either way, once you defeat Clayton you’ll finally learn the Cure spell.
Waterfall Cavern
After the fight, you’ll gain access to the waterfall cavern area. In here you’ll find 4 chests containing; Mythril Shard, Dalmatians (31, 32, and 33), Mythril, and Orichalcum so make sure to grab them all before heading into the final part of the cave.
Enter the cave at the top of the Waterfall Cavern to gain access to the heart of the world and be able to seal the keyhole. You’ll get another Navi-G Gummi Piece, the Jungle King Keyblade, and the Red Trinity ability.
Next up we’ll be headed back to Traverse Town to install these Navi-G pieces we’ve been collecting.
Now that Deep Jungle is complete we need to head back to Traverse Town to regroup with Leon and the gang.
Deep Jungle – Post Agrabah
Once you’ve learned the Green Trinity skill from completing Agrabah, return to the Tunnel area. From here jump up the ledges and go through to the doorway to the Treetops area. Here you’ll find a Green Trinity (#2) on the floor which you can now activate for a Mythril Shard and some Munny balls.
Deep Jungle – Post Hercules Cup
Now that we have Glide, you can grab the chest in the boat at the Treehouse if you didn’t grab it when we first arrived, by jumping off of the roof of the Treehouse. It contains a Mythril.
Head over to the Hippo’s Lagoon after your done at the Treehouse to grab the final chests that were out of reach on the platforms here. The final chest here contains a Meteor-G. Once you’re done, head back to the Jungle Camp and board your Gummi Ship.
Now that we’ve tidied up those few loose ends, we’re ready to head over to Hollow Bastion. To get there you’ll need to leave from Neverland. Make sure you’ve completed all the Torn Pages for the 100 Acre Woods and been to see the Dalmatians for any outstanding rewards before you make the journey to Hollow Bastion.
Deep Jungle – Post Hollow Bastion
Disembark in the Camp and exit the tent. Defeat the heartless that spawn and make your way through the Bamboo Thicket and out into the Cliffs area. From here make for the Waterfall Cavern, climb to the top of the Cavern where we sealed the Deep Jungle Keyhole, here on the ground you’ll find another White Trinity (#4). Activate the Trinity and open the chest for an Orichalcum.
That’s all we needed here in Deep Jungle, make you’re way back to the camp and board the Gummi Ship for Agrabah.
