Monster Hunter World A Colossal Task Quest

Monster Hunter World’s A Colossal Task Quest is a siege style quest against Zorah Magdaros. After discovering that it plans to detonate itself in the lifestream we’re tasked with pushing it out to sea instead.

The first part of the quest will have you targeting the magma cores on Zorah Magdaros’s back. The first should be directly infront of you as you land. Head towards the tail area of Zorah Magdaros to find a large tunnel that holds another of the cores. Climb up to the very top of Zorah Magdaros to find the 3rd and final core inside another large crator.

While destroying the cores it is highly likely that Nergigante will have shown up. Once he does you’ll find him towards the tail area again, in a large open space. You’ll need to do enough damage to him to make him leave the area.

Once you’ve dealt with Nergigante and the 3 Magma Cores Phase 2 will start. You’ll be carried via wingdrake up to the barrier that the other hunters are defending to help out with the defence. Use the cannons and ballistae to damage Zorah Magdaros. Do enough damage and you’ll finish the mission.

Its not terribly hard, so just stick with it. Once he is close enough to the barrier you can even go down to the ship which is on the left hand side of the barrier to use the dragonator on him for extra damage.
