Side Quests: Improving Communications and 11B’s Memento
We finally have access to some side quests! Lets get started.
Head back to the bunker and over to the commander. Speak to her to obtain and start the Improving Communications Quest.
Next up, head down to the hanger with the flight suits and talk to one of the androids down there to begin the 11B’s Memento Quest.
Head back down to The Resistance Camp and leave the area to trigger the Operator calling you. She’ll talk about what you’ll need to gather for the Improving Communications Quest. You’ll find them by destroying machine life forms, so go smash some stuff till you get another transmission letting you know its complete and head over to the resistance leader, Anemone, to drop it all off.
The Abandoned Factory
After you’re finished in the resistance camp, start to make your way back over to the abandoned factory from the start of the game. If you didn’t collect your weapons from the start of the game this is a great time to do that as well.
This time though we’re heading back towards where we started the tutorial at the start of the game. Once your there you’ll find an android body here. This is the android 11B, her friend on the bunker wanted us to find her.
You’ll need to leave the abandoned factory and return to the bunker, via the resistance camp, in order to turn in this quest. I know its a pain, you can do it now to tick it off or wait till you’re at the bunker again later. The choice is yours.
You’ll recieve some extra rewards if you choose the top option when you get the chance to answer her. This is also where you’ll obtain a new weapon, the YORHA issued Blade.
The Amusement Park
To get to the next area, The Amusement Park, you’ll want to head towards the sewers. Once your down here, find a patch of water and try your hand at some fishing. You can actually fish up a new weapon here, The Steel Pipe, to add to your collection.
Continue through the sewers, eventually, you’ll come to the exit. However, the path continues past it, take this, and head up to find another weapon’s location, The Virtuous Dignity.
Head back down to the sewers and take the other exit to come to the front of the amusement park.
Head straight up the stairs and to the gate at the top where 9S will let you know you’ll need to find another way through. Go back down the stairs and explore the side alley. You’ll come upon a broken-down amusement park ride which you can climb on to continue.
On the other side, you’ll find some stairs that will lead to an arena with a boss enemy. It’s a tank that should go down pretty quickly as long as you get in close with your melee attacks.
Head up the stairs on the side of the arena to board a roller coaster and enjoy the action sequence. Afterward, you’ll be dropped through a roof which will lead to another boss battle.
You know how boss battles work by now, dodge the big attacks, and make liberal use of your pod attacks. The boss will attempt to hack you triggering a little minigame at a certain point, but nothing else surprising to report here. Defeat her and let’s continue.
After the boss battle attempt to exit out through the front entrance. You’ll be stopped by a machine claiming to be nonhostile who wants you to go with him to his village. Accept his offer and follow him. He’ll lead us to the next area we need to visit. The Machine Village, this is where we will meet another important character, Pascal.
