The Desert

Head straight into the desert and take a right. It’s easy to miss, but this area is quite quick if you don’t realize that there is an entire underground cave system to explore.

The underground portion itself is quite expansive with many branching paths to take. Take your time and explore the area. At the end of each section is a chest for you to unlock so its definitely worth having a look. None of this is missable and you’ll need to come back here later in the game for some of the best items and to open the locked chests.

Once your done, head back up to the ground level and continue on. You’ll eventually come to a dead end and a new character called “Jackass”. Speak to her to gain access to the next area.

In the next area, follow the markers on your map, they will lead you to a series of fights where you’ll learn a little more about the machines.

The Desert Housing Complex

At the final map marker, a machine will fight you and then flee, follow him. This triggers a chase through the Desert Housing complex.

On the way through make sure to grab the new weapon! It’s a giant polearm called “The Fang Of The Twins”. Continue to chase the machine and he’ll eventually lead you to an area littered with Android bodies.

Adam And Eve

Eventually, you’ll come upon a scene where machines appear to be mimicking human behaviors. Jump down and destroy them to trigger the next scenes. You’re about to meet Adam and Eve, two brothers, born from the machines, with the ability to control them as well.

You’ll have a Boss Battle with Adam at first which becomes progressively harder as he learns and adapts to how you fight. He’ll also level up, numerous times, during the fight so don’t let down your guard.

You’ll eventually come out on top and need to escape as the whole area starts to fall apart. Leave by scaling up the side and back out into the desert. You’ll need to get far enough away from the area that 9S can contact The Bunker and update them on what has all just happened.

The Resistance Camp

Once you’ve had your fill of exploring head back to the Resistance Camp to report back to Anemone and continue to the next part of the story. Walk back outside the Resistance to get an update from the Bunker’s Commander with details of your next mission.
