Our next Optional Quest in Monster Hunter World Iceborne is the Master-Rank Poison And Paralysis Pinch. We’re off to the Hoarfrost Reach to Capture a Viper Tobi-Kadachi. To unlock this quest you’ll need to have completed Ready To Strike as well as On Nightmare’s Wings. Completing this quest will unlock the Cleanser Booster + upgrade for your gear.

Viper Tobi-Kadachi uses one of the new status inflictions in Iceborne, called Noxious Poison. You should have already fought one by now, so remember to bring Poison Resistance armor or jewels. You’ll want the third level of the skill which grants total immunity. Anything less and you’re going to have a bad time. Noxious Poison drains health much faster than regular poison and also lasts longer, it’s literally a noxious combo. Most of Viper Tobi-Kadachi’s attacks inflict this status, so it’s unlikely you’ll be able to simply pack enough Antidotes to stay on top of the situation.
Viper Tobi-Kadachi is weak to Thunder and Ice elements. Its weak points are the head and front claws. You can break or sever its head, front claws, back, and tail.
