Train

Head from the Seventh Heaven Hideout back to the Train Station and head onto the Train to continue.

Once you’re inside the Train, speak to Tifa to trigger the alarms.

You’ve got 15 seconds to make it to the next Train Car but speak to the guy sitting on the right in the back first to obtain a Phoenix Down before you head into the next Cabin.

In the next cabin, speak to the man on the lower left and answer with “Yeah” and he’ll give you a Hi-Potion for your trouble. Head into the third cabin before the timer reaches zero to continue.

In this car as you move forward you’ll be Pickpocketed and lose a random item. Turn around and speak to the Pickpocket, select the final option “That’s Right” and you’ll get your item back. After that, make your way over to Tifa to trigger some scenes, which end with you jumping off of the Train.

**If you fail to make it to the next train car before the timer counts down, you’ll be stuck onboard the train for a longer period, and in the next part of the story, you’ll end up having to walk much further in the tunnels to get out. No other real penalty is applied in-game.**

Winding Tunnels

Make your way away from the screen and down the tunnel. You’ll encounter a barrier of light beams that won’t allow you to pass any further, you’ll also find a hatch on the left. Examine it and choose to “Go Down”.

Grab the green item in the middle of this section, an Ether, and continue to the other side and head down the ladder to continue.

Lower Sector 4 Plate

Head down both ladders and down into the much larger area.

Climb the ladder to the left of where you’ve entered from, and follow the path until you reach Jessie, to the left of her in the corner you’ll find a Potion. Grab it and then continue on. Ignore the ladder on the right which leads back to the prior area, and instead take the one on the left to reach a catwalk with Biggs.

**Here all paths lead to the upcoming Save Point so don’t worry about which path you take and just keep going until you reach the Save Point.**

Once you reach the area with the Save Point, grab the Tent (item) on the ground and make sure to save your game.

Climb up the ladder and through the hole near Biggs to head into the Reactor.

No. 5 Reactor

As you enter the Reactor you can use the pipe on the right to slide down to the lower area. Follow the path from here until you reach the Save Point and make sure to use it.

This whole area should look pretty familiar since it’s the same as the last Reactor we were in. Have Cloud approach the Reactor controls at the end of the path and plant the bomb he’s carrying.

Once the bomb is planted, start to make your way back the way you came. Take the stairs and follow the path back up to the elevator and use it to reach the higher level.

Continue to follow the path and you’ll encounter a chest that contains an “Ether”, grab it and then open the door to the north. Tifa and Barret will split off from you and all three of you need to press the buttons at the same time. Just sync your press up with theirs and you’ll be fine. Use the Save Point in the next room to save as we’ve got another Boss Battle coming up.

Head through the doorway and then continue down the path until you trigger a scene and our next Boss Battle.

Strategy:

You’ll begin the battle in a pincer formation with the Boss caught in the middle of the party. Any ally attacking its back will get a damage multiplier of around 5x, so make sure to take advantage. This is extremely effective if combined with the parties Limit Breaks.

Try to keep everyone’s HP above 100 as the Big Bomber attack from the Boss will deal a ton of damage. Alternate between physical attacks, limit breaks, and Bolt magic. This combo should see the Boss fall quickly.
