Reinventing The Wheel – Monster Hunter Rise
Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 2-Star Hub Quest, Reinventing The Wheel. We’re off to the Sandy Plains to hunt a Volvidon. You’ll find the location of the Volvidon highlighted on the map so he’ll be no issue to track down.
Wheels get stuck in the sand, limiting trade across deserts; and yet, Volvidon traverse the Plains with ease — wait, that’s it! Allow me to observe how a Volvidon rolls, and I shall design an unstoppable wheel!
Monster Hunter Rise
Volvidon is a Fanged Beast Class Monster found in the Sandy Plains and Lava Caverns. It is weak to Water, Thunder, and Ice elemental damage.
Limiting Volvidon’s mobility in this fight will make landing blows much easier. Bring traps and if possible a way to inflict Paralysis to help slow him down. Volvidon also has the ability to emit a stench that can cause you to not be able to use items for a while, you can cure this by bringing Deodorant with you. Overall it wont be a tough fight, you’ll just spend a ton of time chasing him down.
Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a Low-Rank Volvidon can include; Volvidon Shell, Volvidon Claw, Volvi Rickrack, Paralysis Sac, Jumbo Bone, Monster Fluid, and Beast Tear.
