Sacred Relic Sword Guide
The Sacred Relic Sword is one of the many Greatswords found in Elden Ring. It scales with Strength, Faith, and Dexterity. If you’re looking for a Greatsword that offers Holy Damage, then this might be the one for you.
Sword wrought from the remains of a god who should have lived a life eternal.
Thoughts on what the weapon portends are many and varied. Some consider it the mark of a great sin, or a sign of great devastation. Some think of it as the end of an age, while others; the beginning.

Sacred Relic Sword Information
Weapon Requirements
The Sacred Relic Sword requires 14 Strength, 24 Dexterity, and 22 Faith. It also begins with an E Scaling in Strength and a D Scaling in both Dexterity and Faith. Faith is the only stat that increases the Wave of Gold Ash of War’s damage.
Ash of War: Wave of Gold
Wave of Gold takes roughly 2 seconds to fully charge, before releasing a wave of Holy Light that shoots forward from the player in a gradually widening arc. This light inflicts Holy damage and the damage scales based on your Faith stat. Worth noting that it will not stop skeletal enemies from respawning.
The Sacred Relic Sword cannot be infused with other Ashes of War, it also cannot be buffed with magic, or enhanced with consumable items.
Rune Farming
The Wave of Gold ability is powerful enough to kill the Albinaurics at the Palace Approach Ledge-Road Site of Grace. Since the ability cover’s a large expanding area, it can be a very fast way to accumulate a massive amount of Runes, very quickly. Stacks well with the Golden Scarab Talisman that boosts the amount of Runes you earn from defeating enemies.
Patch Notes
As of Patch 1.09, Greatswords were significantly buffed which has also applied to the Sacred Relic Sword.
Sacred Relic Sword Upgrades
The Sacred Relic Sword is upgraded using Somber Smithing Stones.
