Special Arena: HR Rathian Optional Quest Monster Hunter World Iceborne
Our next Optional Quest in Monster Hunter World Iceborne is the quest, Special Arena: HR Rathian. This quest will only unlock after you have captured a High-Rank Rathian while out on another quest or expedition. If you happen to catch a Master-Rank Rathian that will also unlock this quest, but you’ll need to complete this quest prior to being able to access the Master-Rank equivalent.

Monster Hunter World Iceborne
Rathian can inflict both Poison and Fireblight. Either bring Antidotes or use jewels for immunity to poison. Pick armor with high Fire Resistance, or use jewels again to get your Fire Resistance above 20. 20 is the threshold for immunity to an element’s blight status. In this case, 20 Fire Resistance will make you immune to Fireblight. Rathian does not gain access to Noxious Poison until Master-Rank so Antidotes are perfectly acceptable for this fight if you can only choose one set of skills to take, take the Fire Resistance.
Rathian is weak to Dragon and Thunder elements. Its weak points are the head, wings, and tail. You can break or sever the head, wings, body, and tail as well.
