It’s Teostra that stalks the Waste – Emperor of flame. And now it sits in wait in the Elder’s Recess. Go to it, hunter, and end its searing reign!
Monster Hunter World Iceborne
Teostra is one of the Elder Dragons of the fire element. The other being Teostra’s mate, Lunastra. Teostra has a fire aura that can make it difficult to stay close and attack. You can bring armor with the skill “Heat Guard”, such as the Barnos Jacket to nullify this. It wont protect you from the burn or fireblight status effect but it will make other aspects of the fight much more manageable.
It is weakest to both the Water and Ice elements, so bring appropriate gear if you want to exploit it. The head, tail, and wings are its weakest points to aim for when you attack as well. Due to the nature of its attacks, I find it easiest to stick to one side of Teostra near its belly, between the front and back legs to attack.
You can also break its head, wings and sever the tail for an extra carve.
