Tired And Feathered – Monster Hunter Rise

Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 1-Star Hub Quest, Tired And Feathered. We’re off to the Shrine Ruins to slay a Kulu-Ya-Ku. You’ll find the location of the Kulu-Ya-Ku highlighted on the map so he’ll be no issue to track down.

Think he’s number one, does he? Just because he snatched my Gold Gargwa Egg? Well, you’re gonna show him. You got that!? I’m number one around here. I’M NUMBER ONE!

Monster Hunter Rise

Kulu-Ya-Ku is a large Bird Wyvern found primarily in the Shrine Ruins, Sandy Plains, Flooded Forest, and Lava Caverns. It is weak to Water, Thunder, Fire, Dragon, and Ice elements.

You should have already fought Kulu-Ya-Ku before in the Village Quests, so this fight shouldn’t be much of a surprise. Monsters in the Hub Quests have much higher health pool’s so expect this fight to go alittle longer than the Village Quest version.

Kulu-Ya-Ku likes to dig up items to try and use while it fights. He’ll typically dig up a Pot, which you can break by attacking it, or a large rock. If he is holding the rock, any attacks to his front or side will typically bounce off of the rock. If you can stagger him, he will drop the rock and be much easier to deal with again.

Carves, Drops and Rewards for slaying a Low-Rank Kulu-Ya-Ku can include; Kulu-Ya-Ku Scale, Kulu-Ya-Ku Hide, Kulu-Ya-Ku Plume, Kulu-Ya-Ku Beak, Monster Bone M, and Wyvern Tear.
