Well That Diablos! Monster Hunter World Optional Quest

Our next Optional Quest in Monster Hunter World is called “Well That Diablos!” We’re off to the Wildspire Wastes to hunt a High-Rank Diablos.

Diablos can be a tough one to fight, he hits hard, can be extremely fast for such a big guy, and has wide hitboxes on his attacks. Make use of the fact that once exhausted his aggression reduces drastically. You can exhaust him simply by having him chase you around the area, or just be aware that for the first few minutes of fighting he will be more aggressive until he naturally tires. Trapping him also works well, so do weapons with access to paralysis. When he burrows underground, a quick screamer pod will force him back to the surface and allow for some free hits while he is stuck.

Diablos is weakest to the Ice element, followed by; Dragon, Water and a slight weakness to Thunder. His Head, Chest and Wings serve as weak points to aim for. You can break or sever his; Horns, Back and Tail.
