White Monster For A White Coat Capture Quest

The Optional Quest “White Monster for a White Coat” has us off searching for a Paolumu to capture for the research commission. You’ll find the Paolumu in the coral highlands.

Paolumu is weakest to Fire and Thunder elements, so bring an appropriate weapon if you want to take advantage of the elemental weakness. The head and mane area are its weakest spots, so aim most of your attacks towards there.

Remember that since this is a CAPTURE quest that once the Paolumu starts limping you need to capture it and not slay it. Bring an extra trap or two, sometimes I take the materials to craft extra just in case, as well as tranq bombs. Both of which you’ll need to successfully complete this mission.

Since this is a capture quest you won’t receive any of the usual carves. But your end of quest rewards will be much better.

Rewards for low-rank Paolumu quests will include; Paolumu scale, Paolumu pelt, Paolumu Shell, Paolumu Webbing, Monster Bone L, and Nourishing Extract.

At High-Rank Paolumu Quest rewards contain; Paolumu Scale +, Paolumu Pelt +, Paolumu Carapace +, Paolumu Wing, Monster Keenbone, and Wyvern Gems.
