A Portent Of Disaster Optional Quest Monster Hunter World Iceborne
Our next Optional Quest in Monster Hunter World Iceborne is the High-Rank quest, A Portent Of Disaster. We’re headed back to the Ancient Forest to hunt a Kushala Daora, one of the Elder Dragons. This quest rewards you with the Apothecary Mantle, a new Mantle that increases the speed that you will inflict status effects on monsters. This quest is unlocked after reaching level 6 Research Level for 7 different monsters.

Monster Hunter World Iceborne
At High-Rank monsters do not develop resistance to flashbombs. You can use this to your advantage in this fight. Every time he flies into the air you can use a flashbomb to stun him and bring him back to the ground. Bring 10 flashbombs and as many flashbugs as you can to make more as you go. Remember to also bring gear that has the Wind Resistance or Negate Wind Pressure skills.
Kushala Daora is weak to Thunder and Dragon elements. Its weak points are the head, front legs, and tail. You can break or sever the head, wings, and tail.
