Curse Spike is a Miscellaneous item found in Final Fantasy VIII Remastered (FF8, FFVIII) it is used in weapon crafting, refining recipes and also as a catalyst for Quistis’s Blue Magic Limit Break. Curse Spike is typically obtained as a drop or steal from the Tri-Face enemy, as well as various others, in Final Fantasy VIII. It can also be obtained in a few other ways, which are shown below.

The Curse Spike is used as an upgrade material for Selphie’s Strange Vision weapon or to unlock LV?Death in Quistis’s Blue Magic Limit Break. It can also be refined into various items and magic including; Pain, Esuna, and Ultima.

How to Find Curse Spike in the Early Game

In order to obtain Curse Spike as early as possible, you’ll need to use the Card Mod ability on the Tri-Face Card, which are relatively easy cards to obtain if you play plenty of card games.
