Disastrously Beautiful – Monster Hunter Rise

Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 3-Star Hub Quest, Disastrously Beautiful. We’re off to the Arena to hunt three monsters; Barroth, Tobi-Kadachi, and Magnamalo.

Ah. A Barroth, Tobi-Kadachi, and Magnamalo – quite the trio. Is anyone capable of dancing with three such aggressive partners, one after the other? If you intend to take to this stage, I’ll be your audience.

Monster Hunter Rise

Barroth

Barroth is a Brute Wyvern found primarily in the Sandy Plains. It is weak to Fire, Dragon, and Ice elements.

Barroth attacks primarily with its charges, while using its mud to try and slow you down. In this battle it will have a much lower Health Pool than usual, since you are having to fight three monsters in a row. Try to focus on taking him down quickly so you can move on to Tobi-Kadachi when he spawns.

Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a Low-Rank Barroth can include; Barroth Shell, Barroth Ridge, Barroth Claw, Barroth Scalp, Barroth Tail, Fertile Mud, Monster Bone M, and Wyvern Tear.

Tobi-Kadachi is a Fanged Wyvern Class Monster found in the Shrine Ruins and Flooded Forest. It is weak to Water, Fire, and Ice elemental damage.

Tobi-Kadachi will spawn after you’ve dealt with Barroth so head over and engage him. Tobi’s speed and agility become somewhat restricted in this small arena. He’ll still be able to charge himself over time and activate his Electrified state, which will further boost his speed and damage for a little while. Remember that just like Barroth, his Health Pool is limited here so focus on beating him down quickly so you can move onto the next monster, Magnamalo.

Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a Low-Rank Tobi-Kadachi can include; Tobi-Kadachi Pelt, Tobi-Kadachi Scale, Tobi-Kadachi Membrane, Tobi-Kadachi Claw, Tobi-Kadachi Electrode, Electro Sac, and Wyvern Tear.

The last of the three monsters, Magnamalo. Just like before, he has the ability to use his Hellfire buff on different parts of himself. Attack any part that is buffed to dispel it. If he reaches his fully charged state you’ll need to avoid his charging attacks and the explosive clouds he leaves behind. Like the other monsters, his health pool is substantially decreased for this fight so focus on beating him down quickly to finish the quest.

Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a Low-Rank Magnamalo can include; Magnamalo Scale, Magnamalo Shell, Magnamalo Blade, Magnamalo Scute, Magnamalo Tail, Magna Ghostprism, Magnamalo Plate, Magnamalo Horn, and Wyvern Tear.
