Beastly Chaos – Monster Hunter Rise
Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 3-Star Hub Quest, Beastly Chaos. We’re off to the Frost Islands to hunt a Tigrex and a Goss Harag. You’ll find the location of them both highlighted on the map so they’ll be no issue to track down.
Oh meow! A Tigrex and a Goss Harag are going berserk out in the Frost Islands! If someone doesn’t stop ’em, the island’s gonna get carved up like a scratching post! Help!
Monster Hunter Rise
Tigrex
Tigrex is a Flying Wyvern Class Monster found in the Frost Islands, Sandy Plains, and Lava Caverns. It is weak to Thunder, Dragon, and Water elemental damage.
Tigrex is an incredibly fast moving Wyvern, he also hits like a truck. The key to this fight is letting him tire himself out with all the constant charging around the map. You’ll know hes worn himself down as he starts to occasionally stop and pant for a few seconds. Use these openings to get in a few combos.
Tigrex’s main tactic is his charging attacks, he can perform two of these in a row normally, but up to three in a row when in a rage. These have an amazing amount of range and he has access to a tailspin he can use at the end of the charging if you get too close too early.
Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a Low-Rank Tigrex can include; Tigrex Shell, Tigrex Scale, Tigrex Claw, Tigrex Fang, Tigrex Tail, Tigrex Scalp, and Wyvern Tear.

Goss Harag
Goss Harag is a Fanged Beast Class Monster found in the Frost Islands. It is weak to Fire and Thunder elemental damage.
Goss Harag will create Iceblades on its arms, as the fight progresses. To destroy these, aim your attacks at them. By attacking these blades you risk being inflicted with Iceblight. To counter this, make sure to either bring Nullberries, or armor with greater than 20 Ice Resistance. 20 of any Resistance is the threshold where that elements blight will no longer affect you.
