The Disintegrating Blade Assignment Quest Monster Hunter World Iceborne
Our next Assignment Quest in Monster Hunter World Iceborne is the quest, The Disintegrating Blade. We’re headed off to the Rotten Vale to face another of Iceborne’s new monsters, Acidic Glavenus.
As soon as Velkhana left, monsters everywhere started getting riled up. We’re short on manpower, and we need a hunter to secure the defense convoy’s route to Seliana. Start by taking out the Glavenus subspecies!

Acidic Glavenus shares the same basic movepool as its regular variant, so theres not much here to surprise you by now. It can inflict Defence Down status when its tail is in its “overgrown” state, covered in yellow crystals. It loses this ability when it sharpens it.
You’ll also find a Tigrex prowling the area in this quest, if you can lead him to Acidic Glavenus you’ll trigger a turf war that deals almost 4,000 damage to Acidic Glavenus.
Acidic Glavenus is weak to Fire, Thunder, and Dragon elements. Its weak points are the head and tail. You can break or sever its Tail (twice, Tip can be cut off while whole of tail can also be damaged), Head, Front Claws, and Back.
