Dragon Skin Guide
Dragon Skin is a Miscellaneous item found in Final Fantasy VIII Remastered (FF8, FFVIII) it is used in weapon crafting and refine recipes. Dragon Skin is typically obtained as a drop from the Anacondaur, Blue Dragon, Grendel, or Hexadragon enemies in Final Fantasy VIII.
The Dragon Skin is used as an upgrade material for Zell’s Gauntlet and Ehrgeiz weapons, as well as Quistis’s Red Scorpion. It can also be refined into various items and magic including; Reflect Magic and the Glow Curtain item.
How to Find Dragon Skin in the Early Game
In order to obtain Dragon Skin early in the game your best bet is obtaining them by defeating level 30+ Anacondaurs. If you’re trying to stay low-level, you can farm Grendels in the Forest beside Galbadia Garden, but it only has a 5% chance to drop them. In order to encounter the Grendel enemy you’ll need to remain in contact with the North Cliff Wall in that forest.
