Filler Metal Guide

Filler Metal is a crafting material in Nier Automata. Crafting materials are used in upgrading your Pods and Weapons. They can be obtained as drops by defeating enemies, randomly on the map as a glowing point, or bought in stores in various locations.

Where to Find Filler Metal

After completing Route C it can be bought from the Shopkeeper in the Park Ruins: Attraction Square for 3,000 G.

Can be found as an item on the ground in the following locations (be sure to equip Auto-Collect chips to make this easier):

Abandoned Factory Locations:

• Factory Entrance – Filler Metal collection points in bushes.
• Factory Hanger (save point room) holds three possible collection spots, they can be Filler Metal or Natural Rubber.
• Factory Furnace – The first item on the ground has a chance of being Filler Metal.

Upgrades Requiring Filler Metal

Both Pod A and Pod B require 5 Filler Metal each for their upgrades.

Also required for the Robo Dojo – Red and White Belt Quests.
