Go Away, Pukei! – Monster Hunter Rise
Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 5-Star Hub Quest; Go Away, Pukei! We’re off to the Shrine Ruins to hunt a Pukei-Pukei. You’ll find the location of the Pukei-Pukei highlighted on the map so he’ll be no issue to track down.
I am absolutely fuming right now! I spent months, MONTHS, breaking my back to have a good harvest this year, and it takes only one day for that googly-eyed monster to wipe out all my crops. Think you can go harvest its hide for me?
Monster Hunter Rise
Pukei-Pukei is a Bird Wyvern Class Monster found in the Shrine Ruins, Sandy Plains, and Flooded Forest. It is weak to Thunder, Fire, and Ice elemental damage.
Pukei-Pukei attacks using Poison, so bring plenty of Antidotes. It can also swallow various plants around the locale to change the effect of some of its attacks. You’ll know if its eaten something because either its mouth or tail will appear swollen. Cut off its tail to remove its ability to effectively use most of its tail attacks.
Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a High-Rank Pukei-Pukei can include; Pukei-Pukei Scale +, Pukei-Pukei Carapace, Pukei-Pukei Wing, Pukei-Pukei Tail, Pukei-Pukei Sac +, Toxin Sac, Monster Keenbone, Bird Wyvern Gem, Wyvern Tear, and Large Wyvern Tear.
