Rotten Fruit – Monster Hunter Rise

Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 5-Star Hub Quest, Rotten Fruit. We’re off to the Flooded Forest to hunt a Bishaten. You’ll find the location of the Bishaten highlighted on the map so he’ll be no issue to track down.

It was my fur-st time seeing a Bishaten up close. It looked so playful and fur-iendly! It even started throwing fruit to me. I thought they were purr-esents but one of them blinded me with a flash and the other zapped my tail! What a meanie! Go teach it a lesson fur me!

Monster Hunter Rise

Bishaten is a Fanged Beast-type Monster found in the Shrine Ruins and Flooded Forest. It is weak to Ice and Fire elemental damage.

Bishaten will inflict numerous status effects with its thrown fruit, try to avoid them as much as possible. If you happen to stagger the monster there is a good chance it will drop some of its fruit. Pick it up and pelt it back at him, for a chance to inflict those same status effects back on it. This fruit will disappear at the end of the quest so make sure to use them all.

Bishaten’s most damaging moves all start with it standing on its tail. Its spinning attack usually has him ‘coil’ up before use, if you see that then be sure to create some distance between the two of you. If it hides its face inside its wings, it is likely about to throw its flashbang fruit. You can dodge this by a well-timed evade or by guarding. This move leaves him open for a couple of combos afterward as well.

Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a High-Rank Bishaten can include; Bishaten Fur +, Bishaten Feather +, Bishaten Talon +, Bishaten Horn +, Stoutbone, Bishaten Tailcase +, Beast Gem, Jumbofruit, Poisonfruit, Parafruit, Flashfruit, Beast Tear, and Large Beast Tear.
