Jumped In The Frost Islands – Monster Hunter Rise
Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 1-Star Hub Quest, Jumped In The Frost Islands. We’re off to the Frost Islands to slay a Great Izuchi. You’ll find the location of the Great Izuchi highlighted on the map so he’ll be no issue to track down.
Psst! Hey, pal. I just got ruffled up by a gang of Izuchi and their “great” bozo leader. They took my pouch, my zenny – even my pants! Think ya could do me a solid and take care of ’em for me? And maybe, uh, get me some pants too, huh?
Monster Hunter Rise
Great Izuchi is a large Bird Wyvern found primarily in the Shrine Ruins and Frost Islands. It is weak to Water, Thunder, Fire, and Ice elements.
The Great Izuchi appears early in the Village Quests so you should have already faced one by now. Remember that Hub Quests have monsters with much greater health pool’s than their Village Quest counterparts.
Great Izuchi will always be flanked by 2 smaller Izuchi monsters, they will focus on attacking in sync with each other so be careful. If you kill off the smaller Izuchi it will take some time to call for reinforcements, this should allow you more openings for attacks. Pay attention to some of its large attacks, as many of them result in the monster getting its tail stuck and being very vulnerable to attack during this time.
