Like A Flash Of Lightning – Monster Hunter Rise

Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 6-Star Quest, Like A Flash Of Lightning. We’re off to the Flooded Forest to hunt a Tobi-Kadachi and a Mizutsune. You’ll find the location of both monsters highlighted on the map so they’ll be no issue to track down.

Monster Hunter Rise

Tobi-Kadachi

Tobi-Kadachi is a Fanged Wyvern Class Monster found in the Shrine Ruins and Flooded Forest. It is weak to Water, Fire, and Ice elemental damage.

Find and use the Endemic Life called Mudbeetles on Tobi-Kadachi to inflict him with Waterblight. Waterblight will prevent him from being able to charge up the Thunder in his fur during the fight. Without this ability, he becomes easier to handle, as in his charged state he can hit harder and move faster. Defeat him quickly and move on the Mizutsune.

Mizutsune

Mizutsune is a Leviathan Class Monster found in the Shrine Ruins, Frost Islands, and Flooded Forest. It is weak to Thunder, Dragon, and Ice elemental damage.

Try to break Mizutsune’s head quickly to reduce its ability to use its water-jet attacks. If you can force the fight onto land, you’ll reduce Mizutsune’s mobility and make the fight go much quicker as well.

Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a Low-Rank Mizutsune can include; Mizutsune Scale, Mizutsune Purplefur, Mizutsune Claw, Bubblefoam, Mizutsune Tail, Mizutsune Plate, Mizutsune Fin, and Wyvern Tear.
