Simple Gadget Guide

Simple Gadget is a crafting material in Nier Automata. Crafting materials are used in upgrading your Pods and Weapons. They can be obtained as drops by defeating enemies, randomly on the map as a glowing point, or bought in stores in various locations.

Where to Find Simple Gadget

Focus on acquiring Simple Gadgets from Quests first before trying to track it down via spawn points.

Can be found as an item on the ground in the following locations, you may also need to equip the Scanner to be able to locate some of these, (be sure to equip Auto-Collect chips to make this easier):

• Quest Reward for completing:
  • Terminal Repairs – 3x Simple Gadgets as a reward
  • Anemone’s Past – 5x Simple Gadgets as a reward
• City Ruins:
  • Near the Factory – On the fourth floor of the building you arrived on at the start of the game.
  • Near the Factory – On top of Engels Saw.
  • Near the Tower – On top of the Stone Archway, reach it by floating over from the tower.
  • Near the Tower – head across the bridge and into the large complex, you’ll find the Simple Gadget in front of the elevator.
  • Near the Tower – behind the wall that leads to Pascal’s Village.
• Forest Zone:
  • Royal Chamber – in the cradle where the baby was.
  • Forest Castle – below the access point, drop down facing the castle.
  • Forest Castle – first room inside the castle with many floors, you’ll find the Simple Gadget on the lowest floor.
• Bunker:
  • Inside 9S’s room.
• Resistance Camp:
  • In front of the fence as you head toward the back of the camp.
• Factory:
  • Entrance – On the ground, under the bridge that leads to the city.
• Desert:
  • Camp – in a small cave by the Multi-Tier type machines.
  • Housing Complex – Alleyway leading to where you met Adam.
  • Camp – Inside a tunnel, in the northeast of the underground section.
• Amusement Park:
  • Attraction Square – by the overturned cart near the shopkeeper.
