Special Arena HR Diablos Optional Quest Monster Hunter World Iceborne

Our next Optional Quest in Monster Hunter World Iceborne is the High-Rank quest, Special Arena HR Diablos. We’re off to the Special Arena to hunt a High-Rank Diablos. This quest unlocks after you have captured a High-Rank Diablos for the first time. You also need to have completed its Low-Rank Counterpart, Special Arena: Diablos.

Monster Hunter World Iceborne

Diablos is a fast monster with a large AOE on its attacks, making it a dangerous foe in the small Special Arena. You’ve fought them before, but a High-Rank Diablos will have more HP and also do more damage than its low-rank counterparts.

Remember that guarding can protect you against its burrowing attacks if you have a weapon capable of guarding. You can also stun Diablos when it burrows by shooting a Screamer Pod above it, similar to how you use its Sandtrap in the Wildspire Wastes.

Diablos is weak to Ice, Water, and Dragon elements. Its weak points are the head, wings, and belly. You can break or sever its horns (twice), back, and tail.
