Special Arena: Rathian Optional Quest Monster Hunter World Iceborne
Our next Optional Quest in Monster Hunter World Iceborne is the quest, Special Arena: Rathian. This quest will only unlock after you have captured a Rathian while out on another quest or expedition. If you happen to catch a High-Rank or Master-Rank Rathian that will also unlock this quest, as you’ll need to complete this prior to being able to access the High-Rank and Master-Rank equivalent.
A new challenger: Rathian, the Queen o’ Green, the Sky-borne Slasher! Don’t get the lady angry; she’s poison! Think you can go toe-to-toe—er, toe-to-claw with this heavy hitter!?
Monster Hunter World Iceborne
Rathian can inflict both Fire Blight and Poison with its attacks so come with Fire Resistance above 20 preferrably. At the 20 and above resistance for any element you also become immune to that elements blight status. Not to mention it will also soften quite a few of Rathians attacks, which rely on dealing fire damage.
Poison can really eat away your HP if you are not prepared so bring antidotes or simply equip some Poison resistance jewels. Three jewels will give you total immunity to Rathian’s Poison.
Rathian is weak to Dragon and Thunder elements. Its weak points are the head, wings, and tail. You can break or sever the head, wings, body, and tail as well.
