Stuck In Their Ways Optional Quest Monster Hunter World Iceborne

Our next Optional Quest in Monster Hunter World Iceborne is the High-Rank quest, Stuck In Their Ways. We’re headed off to the Ancient Forest to capture a High-Rank Tobi-Kadachi. This quest unlocks an additional ingredient for the chef in Astera, the Wyvern Amber Ale. To unlock this quest you’ll need to see the Shy Scholar in the Research Base, you’ll typically also need to have completed the other quests in the chain; A Tingling Taste, and A Master’s Toast. A Master’s Toast is a delivery mission for the Provisioner in camp, only unlocked after you’ve received a High-Rank Thunder Sac from fighting a Tobi-Kadachi, and spoken to the Leader of the Third Fleet Expedition.

Shy Scholar – Monster Hunter World Iceborne

Tobi-Kadachi is not a tough foe by this point in the game, remember to take armor with Thunder resistance, bring some flashpods for when it leaps onto a tree, you can flash it and get a free stun. Its main elemental weakness is Water, you can easily unlock High-Rank Water weapons by going on an expedition into the Wildspire Wastes and killing the Gajau Catfish, as well as Jyuratodus. The parts from both of those monsters are typically used in the Water elemental weapon trees.

Tobi-Kadachi is weak to Water, Fire, and Ice elements. Its weak points are the head and tail. You can break its head, front claws, body, and tail.
