The Restless Swamp – Monster Hunter Rise
Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 5-Star Hub Quest, The Restless Swamp. We’re off to the Flooded Forest to hunt a Jyuratodus. You’ll find the location of the Jyuratodus highlighted on the map so she’ll be no issue to track down.
One of our scouts tracking a Jyuratodus has gone missing in the Flooded Forest. If you would hunt the beast so that it is safe enough to dispatch a search party, it would be much appreciated. Now, hop to it-to it!
Monster Hunter Rise
Jyuratodus is a Piscine Wyvern Class Monster found in the Flooded Forest. It is weak to both Fire and Thunder elemental damage.
Jyuratodus will constantly drop mud from its body during the fight, this mud will slow your movement dramatically and also has the potential to inflict Waterblight, which can reduce your Stamina Recovery. You’ll need to attack the mud-caked sections of Jyuratodus’s body to break off the mud. Breaking off the mud will allow you to attack its much softer skin. A Water elemental weapon will help to break off the mud faster, but will then be resisted by Jyuratodus’s natural resistances afterwards. Thunder element will be highly effective on its skin, but will have a tough time breaking through the mud. For this fight I would focus on a non-elemental weapon and ignore the elemental resistances.
