Way Of The Pukei – Monster Hunter Rise
Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 2-Star Quest, Way Of The Pukei. We’re off to the Sandy Plains to hunt a Pukei-Pukei. You’ll find the location of the Pukei-Pukei highlighted on the map so he’ll be no issue to track down.
Master Utsushi does those monster impressions, right? Maybe if I, like, learned one, we’d have something in common. I bet I could do Pukei-Pukei. Seems easy. I’m already pretty good at sticking out my tongue. If you hunt one for me, I can watch and take notes!
Monster Hunter Rise
Pukei-Pukei is a Bird Wyvern Class Monster found in the Shrine Ruins, Sandy Plains, and Flooded Forest. It is weak to Thunder, Fire, and Ice elemental damage.
Pukei-Pukei uses Poison breath attacks to try and drain the Hunters HP, bring Antidotes to counter the poisons effect. He also loves to use his long tongue in battle, it has an incredible range to it, so be extra careful if you are caught in front of him. Attacking the wings or tail is often the best choice.
Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a Low-Rank Pukei-Pukei can include; Pukei-Pukei Scale, Pukei-Pukei Shell, Pukei-Pukei Quill, Pukei-Pukei Tail, Pukei-Pukei Sac, Poison Sac, Monster Bone L, and Wyvern Tear.
