Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 4-Star Quest, A Song Of Red And Fire. We’re off to the Lava Caverns to hunt a Volvidon. You’ll find the location of the Volvidon highlighted on the map so he’ll be no issue to track down.
Can you hear that? The perfect melody of flowing lava, smoldering ash, and the bassy rumblings of the volcano all accompanied by the sound of Volvidon rolling around. Bravo! BRAVO!
Monster Hunter Rise
Volvidon is a Fanged Beast Class Monster found in the Sandy Plains and Lava Caverns. It is weak to Water, Thunder, and Ice elemental damage.
Volvidon shouldn’t be too difficult for you to face by now, he has some similar moves to Arzuros and Lagombi. It also has the ability to paralyze with its spitting attacks, and can prevent you being able to use consumable items for a time if you get caught in its gas attacks. To cure this you’ll need an item called Deodorant.
Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a Low-Rank Volvidon can include; Volvidon Shell, Volvidon Claw, Volvi Rickrack, Paralysis Sac, Jumbo Bone, Monster Fluid, and Beast Tear.
