Hmm Not So Tasty – Monster Hunter Rise
Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 2-Star Quest, Hmm Not So Tasty. We’re off to the Frost Islands to collect 3 Popo Tongues. You’ll find these items by carving from the Popo monsters. Popo’s are the large wooly mammoth monsters that the map will highlight for you. Defeat them and carve the bodies for a chance at gaining a Popo Tongue.
Meow I’ll never learn to cook meat! Too fast and it’s raw, too slow and it’s burnt… I need more purr-actice but I’m all out of Popo Tongues. Think you can get me some more?
Monster Hunter Rise
Popo’s are very easy to defeat, however they will likely run once you begin to attack them. Either use large sweeping attacks to target multiple at the same time, or defeat one and move on to another area until the herd returns and you can defeat another.
Carves, Drops and Rewards for slaying a Low-Rank Popo can include; Raw Meat, Popo Tongue, and Jumbo Bone.
