Adamantine Guide
Adamantine is a GF Medicine item found in Final Fantasy VIII Remastered (FF8, FFVIII) it is used in crafting and also to grant a Guardian Force the Vit+60% Ability. Typically obtained as a drop from the Adamantoise enemy in Final Fantasy VIII, it can also be obtained in a few other ways, as shown below.
Adamantine is mainly used as upgrade materials for some of the game’s ultimate weapons, this is the primary reason people will try to obtain this rare material.
How to Find Adamantine Early Game
In order to obtain Adamantine as early as possible, you’ll need to use the Card Mod ability on the Minotaur Card. The Minotaur Card is obtained automatically after defeating Minotaur and Sacred in the Tomb of the Unknown King. Using Card Mod on the card will result in you obtaining 10x Adamantine, allowing you to obtain Squall’s Lion Heart weapon very early.

How to find Adamantine as a Drop
Adamantine can be obtained as a drop from the Adamantoise enemy from level 20+. It is a low rate drop from the Adamantoise at levels 20-29 (4.6% chance to drop), but the only drop from it above level 30 (75% chance to drop). Adamantoise can be found in four different locations:

Adamantine can also be obtained as a steal, using the Mug ability, against the BGH251F2 enemy fought in Fisherman’s Horizon.
