Tail To Tail – Monster Hunter Rise

Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 3-Star Hub Quest, Tail To Tail. We’re off to the Shrine Ruins to hunt a Bishaten and an Almudron. You’ll find the location of them both highlighted on the map so they’ll be no issue to track down.

Both Bishaten and Almudron are known for using their powerful tails when they attack. I’m collecting information on these monsters. Could you possibly assist me? I need to ascertain which tail is stronger. The one like a fist, or the one like a whip?

Bishaten

Bishaten is a Fanged Beast type Monster found in the Shrine Ruins and Flooded Forest. It is weak to Ice and Fire elemental damage.

You’ve fought Bishaten before so this fight shouldn’t hold many surprises. Bishaten can inflict various status effects with the fruit likes to throw. If you can stun it, it will likely drop some of the fruit which you can then thrown back at it to inflict the same status effects. It is also highly manuverable with its spring like tail. Hit and run attacks work well for this fight.

Make sure to bring Antidotes for this fight.

Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a Low-Rank Bishaten can include; Bishaten Fur, Bishaten Feather, Bishaten Talon, Bishaten Horn, Jumbo Bone, Bisha Tailcase, Jumbofruit, Poisonfruit, Flashfruit, and Beast Tear.
