Bully Of The Caverns – Monster Hunter Rise

Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 3-Star Hub Quest, Bully Of The Caverns. We’re off to the Lava Caverns to hunt an Anjanath. You’ll find the location of the Anjanath highlighted on the map so he’ll be no issue to track down.

I can see why that Anjanath likes to bully all those little monsters. Them Raths always pickin’ on ’em for having those li’l stubby “wings” and a funny lookin’ schnoz. But that don’t make it right. I don’t like bullies. And I won’t have any of it!

Monster Hunter Rise

Anjanath is a Brute Wyvern Class Monster found in the Shrine Ruins, Sandy Plains, Flooded Forest, and Lava Caverns. It is weak to Water, Ice, and Thunder elemental damage.

Anjanath is a fire-based monster so armor sporting high Fire Resistance will greatly help in this fight. If your armor has Fire Resistance above 20 points, you’ll gain automatic immunity to Anjanath’s Fireblight.

He also gains an impressive power boost when in a rage, so take care. You’ll know he’s entered his rage state by the inflating of the sac around his nostrils and the raising of the sails on his back. During a rage he will charge down hunters, this move can be performed multiple times and has the ability to kind of trap a hunter, if you end up backed into a corner and he does it a few times in a row.

Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a Low-Rank Anjanath can include; Anjanath Pelt, Anjanath Scale, Anjanath Nosebone, Anjanath Tail, Anjanath Plate, Flame Sac, Anjanath Fang, and Wyvern Tear.
