Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 5-Star Hub Quest, Charge Blade Coalescing. We’re off to the Flooded Forest to hunt a Royal Ludroth and a Jyuratodus. You’ll find the location of them both highlighted on the map so they’ll be no issue to track down.

Alright, Ace, lesson time! Like the Royal Ludroth and Jyuratodus, you’ll need to be in water – Wait, no… You’ll need to be “AS water.” Meaning you’ll have to be flexible according to the situation. Understanding this is the key to unlocking the charge blade’s potential!

Royal Ludroth is a Leviathan Class Large Monster found in the Flooded Forest and Lava Caverns. It is weak to Fire, Thunder, and Ice elements.

Both Royal Ludroth and Jyuratodus will lose considerable strength if you can lure them out of the water while you are fighting them. You’ll need to bring plenty of Nullberries for this fight as both monsters can inflict the Waterblight status effect.

Jyuratodus

Jyuratodus is a Piscine Wyvern Class Monster found in the Flooded Forest. It is weak to both Fire and Thunder elemental damage.

Jyuratodus coats itself in mud that helps to shield it from attacks, it can also drop the mud to create puddles that will restrict your movement and inflict Waterblight. Destroy the mud on its body to prevent it from being able to create these puddles anymore. Jyuratodus’s elemental weaknesses change based on whether it is covered in mud or not. Due to this, it is better to simply bring a non-elemental weapon for this fight.
