Dancing A-Purr-Ition – Monster Hunter Rise
Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 4-Star Hub Quest, Dancing A-Purr-Ition. We’re off to the Shrine Ruins to slay an Aknosom. You’ll find the location of the Aknosom highlighted on the map so they’ll be no issue to track down.
Help Hunter! I just saw this su-purr creepy umbrella monster! I tried to get close to see if it was real or if I was just i-meow-gining it and it tried to attack me! I’ve never been more tra-mew-tized in all my nine lives! Make it go away!
Monster Hunter Rise
Aknosom is a Bird Wyvern Class Monster found in the Shrine Ruins and Frost Islands. It is weak to Water, Thunder, and Ice elemental damage.
You’ve fought Aknosom a number of times by now and should have a good grasp of its moveset. Remember that High-Rank monsters will hit harder than their Low-Rank counterparts, they’ll also have different carves to allow you access to valuable High-Rank gear.
Try to fight Aknosom near, or in, water as much as possible. Fighting in water will severely weaken its ability to fight, since most of its attacks rely on the Fire element and the use of Fireblight. Outside of fighting in the water though, consider bringing armor with greater than 20 Fire Resistance. At 20 Fire Resistance you’ll gain immunity to Fireblight, as well as take reduced damage from all of Aknosom’s Fire elemental attacks.
Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a High-Rank Aknosom can include; Aknosom Scale +, Aknosom Feather +, Aknosom Beak, Inferno Sac, Bird Wyvern Gem, Monster Keenbone, Aknosom Crest +, Wyvern Tear, and Large Wyvern Tear.
