Bowled Over – Monster Hunter Rise
Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 5-Star Hub Quest, Bowled Over. We’re off to the Sandy Plains to hunt two Volvidon. You’ll find the location of both of the Volvidon highlighted on the map so they’ll be no issue to track down.
Man, I cannot catch a break! I was making my way through the Plains when I started hearing this, * boingy * * boingy * * boingy * noise. Then suddenly two Volvidon appear out of nowhere and roll over my cart! To make matters worse, any produce that didn’t get squashed was covered in their nasty spit!
Monster Hunter Rise
Volvidon is a Fanged Beast Class Monster found in the Sandy Plains and Lava Caverns. It is weak to Water, Thunder, and Ice elemental damage.
Volvidon can inflict both Paralysis and Stench. Stench will make it so that you cannot use recovery items for a time. You can cure this with a Deodorant, so make sure to pack some for this fight. Try to get one of the Volvidon by itself to engage, as fighting both together can become very irritating. You can use traps and flashbombs to help stop them from moving about so much and make them easier targets for your combos. If you want the fight to go a little faster, try to exploit their elemental weakness to Water by bringing a strong Water elemental weapon if you have it.
Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a High-Rank Volvidon can include; Volvi Carapace, Volvidon Claw +, Volvi Rickrack, Omniplegia Sac, Stoutbone, Monster Broth, Beast Gem, Beast Tear, and Large Beast Tear.
