Learning To Ride – Monster Hunter Rise

Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the Tutorial Quest; Learning To Ride. Wyvern Riding is a new mechanic introduced in Monster Hunter Rise. To pull it off you’ll need to put a monster into a “mountable state” this can be accomplished one of three ways; damage the monster with wirebug attacks, start a turf war between two monsters, or use some Endemic Life to trigger the state.

Hey, Ace! There’s a pretty gnarly technique in Kamura called Wyvern Riding where you use Wirebugs to control a monster! Sounds crazy, right? Meet me in the Arena, and I’ll show you what it’s all about!
