Rise Above The Mud – Monster Hunter Rise
Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 5-Star Hub Quest, Rise Above The Mud. We’re off to the Sandy Plains to hunt a Barroth. You’ll find the location of Barroth highlighted on the map so he’ll be no issue to track down.
Aaaargh! I was SO close! * sigh * Right as I was about to land the final blow on a Barroth, my feet got stuck in some mud! Not only did it, proceed to stomp the crap out of me, but then it got away! Once I’m better – * ouch * I’m gonna go and finish what I started!
Monster Hunter Rise
Barroth is a Brute Wyvern found primarily in the Sandy Plains. It is weak to Fire, Dragon, and Ice elements.
Barroth will leave mud puddles behind to slow your movement and inflict Waterblight to drain your stamina. Both of these are to make it easier for his devastating charge attacks to hit you. Try to avoid the mud he drops as much as possible and cure the Waterblight with Nullberries. Stamina management is very important, so that you can avoid his charge attacks. Remember that many of his attacks can also be avoided with the new Wirebug moves.
Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a High-Rank Barroth can include; Barroth Carapace, Barroth Ridge +, Barroth Claw +, Barroth Scalp, Barroth Tail, Rich Mud, Monster Keenbone, Wyvern Gem, Wyvern Tear, and Large Wyvern Tear.
