Nosey Nuisances – Monster Hunter Rise

Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 5-Star Quest, Nosey Nuisances. We’re off to the Sandy Plains to hunt a Kulu-Ya-Ku and an Anjanath. You’ll find the location of both monsters highlighted on the map so they’ll be no issue to track down.

These monsters are so annoying! First it was that bird-brain trying to peck me to death, then it was that pink snozz-o-saurus trying to blow mucus all over me. Wish those two would keep their noses out of my business! ARGH!

Kulu-Ya-Ku

Kulu-Ya-Ku is a large Bird Wyvern found primarily in the Shrine Ruins, Sandy Plains, Flooded Forest, and Lava Caverns. It is weak to Water, Thunder, Fire, Dragon, and Ice elements.

Kulu-Ya-Ku shouldn’t pose you any issues by this stage, it will try to deflect your attacks with the rock that it digs up. Simply stagger it with attacks to the backlegs and tail to make it drop the rock. Take it down quickly and move onto the real threat, the Anjanath.

Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a Low-Rank Kulu-Ya-Ku can include; Kulu-Ya-Ku Scale, Kulu-Ya-Ku Hide, Kulu-Ya-Ku Plume, Kulu-Ya-Ku Beak, Monster Bone M, and Wyvern Tear.

Anjanath

Anjanath is a Brute Wyvern Class Monster found in the Shrine Ruins, Sandy Plains, Flooded Forest, and Lava Caverns. It is weak to Water, Ice, and Thunder elemental damage.

Anjanath utilizes the Fire element with many of its strongest attacks. This means if you come equiped with Fire Resistant armor, you’ll severely reduce the damage that he can inflict. He can be extremely dangerous in a rage, as his speed and damage output both get boosted. Try to keep your distance and take advantage of the openings after his longer range attacks.

Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a Low-Rank Anjanath can include; Anjanath Pelt, Anjanath Scale, Anjanath Nosebone, Anjanath Tail, Anjanath Plate, Flame Sac, Anjanath Fang, and Wyvern Tear.
