The Blizzard Blender – Monster Hunter Rise
Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 3-Star Hub Quest, The Blizzard Blender. We’re off to the Frost Islands to hunt a Goss Harag. You’ll find the location of the Goss Harag highlighted on the map so he’ll be no issue to track down.
Yo, I heard those Gross Harag’s can turn their arms into these sick ice blades that’ll carve a hunter up like, “Shwa!Shwa!Shwashwashwa SWAH!” Dude, I gotta see it! Come on, go pick a fight with one! Just, uh, don’t get all “shwa-shwa-shwa”-ed up out there!
Monster Hunter Rise
Goss Harag is a Fanged Beast Class Monster found in the Frost Islands. It is weak to Fire and Thunder elemental damage.
Attacking Goss Harag’s arms will allow you to destroy the Iceblades it produces. The downside is that attacking them will also likely cause the hunter to be hit with the Iceblight status effect. You can cure this with Nulberries, or preferably, by wearing armor with greater than 20 Ice Resistance. Above 20 Ice Resistance, you’ll no longer be affected by Iceblight. When in a rage its parts become more susceptible if they are glowing red.
Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a Low-Rank Goss Harag can include; Goss Harag Fur, Goss Harag Hide, Goss Harag Brace, Block Of Ice, Frost Sac, Massive Bone, Goss Harag Claw, Goss Harag Horn, and Beast Tear.
