Zigzagging Zapper – Monster Hunter Rise
Our next quest in Monster Hunter Rise is the 3-Star Hub Quest, Zigzagging Zapper. We’re off to the Shrine Ruins to hunt a Tobi-Kadachi. You’ll find the location of the Tobi-Kadachi highlighted on the map so he’ll be no issue to track down.
Blargh! I was trying to hunt a stupid Tobi-Kadachi but the squirrely monster just wouldn’t stay still! When I finally got an opening to strike, it scurried off and hid in a tree! Is it gonna come down anytime soon? You know what? I’m outta here! I don’t got all day for this!
Monster Hunter Rise
Tobi-Kadachi is a Fanged Wyvern Class Monster found in the Shrine Ruins and Flooded Forest. It is weak to Water, Fire, and Ice elemental damage.
Tobi-Kadachi is a very quick monster, hit and run attacks are going to be the best way to fight him. As the fight progresses Tobi-Kadachi will charge electricity in its fur, eventually reaching a ‘charged’ state. Once there its attacks will deal Thunder elemental damage and it becomes a little more irritating to fight. You can short-circuit the charging by inflicting Tobi-Kadachi with Waterblight. The best source of Waterblight is the endemic life, Mudbeetle. If you can locate them, you can throw them to inflict monsters with the Waterblight effect.
Remember that Thunderblight, which Tobi-Kadachi can inflict, will make it significantly easier for a hunter to be stunned by a monsters attacks. Remove it with a Nullberry or equip armor that gives higher than 20 points of Thunder Resistance to completely nullify the status effect.
Carves, Drops, and Rewards for slaying a Low-Rank Tobi-Kadachi can include; Tobi-Kadachi Pelt, Tobi-Kadachi Scale, Tobi-Kadachi Membrane, Tobi-Kadachi Claw, Tobi-Kadachi Electrode, Electro Sac, and Wyvern Tear.
